Doctors for the Destitutes Foundation (D4D Foundation) Is founded by 2 medical doctors’ colleagues from Tanzania Mainland namely;Denis R Katundu and Anzibert A Rugakingira.

The planned activities of D4D Foundation aligned with the mission and vision of the Foundation and aim to improve access to quality and timely health care, foster the spirit of volunteering among medical practitioners, ensure equitable and sustainable medical practices, and promote and support research in health care. The implementation of these activities will require the active participation and collaboration of all members of D4D Foundation, as well as partnerships with other organizations, institutions, and government agencies.
∙Encourage and support medical practitioners and researchers to conduct research in health care and related fields,Provide funding and resources to support research initiatives and projects that aim to improve health outcomes for patients,Organize and conduct regular conferences and workshops to share research findings and best practices in health care,Collaborate with academic institutions and other organizations to promote and support research in health care.
∙Conduct regular health camps in remote and underprivileged areas, in partnership with local healthcare facilities and other organizations. ∙Provide medical supplies and equipment to remote healthcare facilities to improve their capabilities and capacity to provide quality health care. ∙Provide training and capacity building programs to healthcare workers in remote areas to improve their skills and knowledge in providing quality health care. ∙Establish mobile health clinics to reach communities in remote and underprivileged areas and provide quality health care services.
∙Encourage and support medical practitioners to participate in volunteer activities and initiatives through various programs and incentives. ∙Organize and conduct regular training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of volunteer medical practitioners in the provision of quality health care services. ∙Partner with other organizations and institutions to promote and encourage volunteering among medical practitioners. ∙Create a supportive and inclusive environment for volunteer medical practitioners to participate in the activities of D4D Foundation.
∙Develop and implement policies and programs to ensure equitable access to health care services for all, regardless of their physical locations and economic status. ∙Partner with local healthcare facilities and other organizations to promote and implement sustainable medical practices that result in better health outcomes for all patients. ∙Provide education and awareness programs to communities and healthcare workers on the importance of sustainable medical practices. ∙Collaborate with government agencies and institutions to develop and implement policies and regulations that promote sustainable medical practices in the health care system.
